Fulbright Award for U.S. Scholars

The Fulbright scholarship programme has opened a call for applications in the United States for senior university faculty interested in a stay at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC) during 2026-2027

The programme will allow three faculty members (Teaching and/or Research and Postdoctoral Researchers) to spend a minimum of 4 months working in one of the UPC research areas (the award can be granted for either the Spring or Fall semester).

Scholars selected for this award can choose to:

  • Advise/ mentor students
  • Assist in faculty, currículum / program development
  • Conduct a research project designated by the host institution
  • Conduct a research project of the applicant’s choosing
  • Teach graduate /undergraduate courses designated by the host institution
  • Teach graduate / undergraduate courses of the applicant’s choosing
  • Conduct a professional / artistic project
Career Profile:
  • Mid-Career Academics and Senior Academics (distinguished Scholar with more than 7 years of experience in their discipline or area of expertise) 
Additional Qualification Information:
  • Associate or Full Professors and Assistant Professors with substantial teaching experience will be considered.

Note that Candidates with dual U.S./Spain citizenship, or candidates residing in Spain at the time of application or anytime thereafter, are not eligible for the Fulbright Program to Spain.
