4- Pay the tax

In order to submit your application for the TIE renewal, you have to pay a tax.

You have to :

• go to an online form and fill in your personal details
• generate a PDF and print it (it has many pages)
• go with this to the bank and pay it.

Please read in this document (page 10) how to proceed.

You can pay the tax in cash or by debit/credit card through the ATM; but it is more advisable to pay it in cash.

• If you pay in cash, you will get a stamp of the bank in the document.
• If you pay if through the ATM, you have to provide a receipt of the payment (as the Spanish authorities only will accept it if they can see a proof that the money has been already debited in your account).
