5-year grants to encourage the employment of doctors (from all areas of knowledge) in Spanish R&D centres. Among other requirements, the candidates must have worked, for a minimum of 24 months after obtaining his/her doctorate, in an R&D centre other than that for which the grant is requested. Funding for visits by North American lecturers and researchers. Since 1998, Department of Education and Universities together with the Commission for Cultural, Educational and Scientific Exchange between the United States of America and Spain, funds up to 4 visiting lecturer/researcher programmes annually in Catalan universities and research centres (the Fulbright Scholar Programme).
