Catalonia financed grants

Grants for Visiting Lecturers and Researchers (PIV).
These are grants aimed at financing stays in Catalonia for the purpose of working on a teaching or research project. They are aimed at non-Catalan lecturers and lecturers with accredited experience and an international reputation. These stays should be at Catalan universities and non-profit non-university research bodies. ICREA Programme.
This includes the ICREA Junior and ICREA Senior contracts. The aim of the Junior programme is to offer 5-year research contracts to doctors who have completed a 2-year post-doctoral training programme and who wish to pursue a research career in a university or research centre or in the private sector. Likewise, funding is also offered to institutions and companies who wish to employ qualified researchers to work on their research and innovation projects.

The ICREA Senior contracts are aimed at facilitating the permanent employment of experienced researchers in a broad range of fields. Further information: www.icrea.cat

Francesca ça Torra Programme.
Aimed at researchers associated with the Spanish Ramón y Cajal Programme who have terminated their 5-year contracts and who have been unable to find stable employment in a university or research centre. Through this programme, Department of Education and Universities offers guaranteed employment in Catalan foundations, bodies or research centres. Note that this programme has not as yet been implemented.
