Languages of instruction and commitments regarding language transparency and safety

• The languages of instruction at the UPC are Catalan, Spanish and English.
• Students have the right to know what language a subject will be taught in before they enrol.
• The language announced as the language of instruction is a commitment that provides language safety
• The course guide states the language or languages in which groups will be offered.
• The timetables specify the language of each group.
• The stated language is the language in which the professor must teach, orally and in writing.
• The teaching materials designed by professors and the exams must be available in the stated language.
• Students can use the official language they prefer and English if they come to an agreement with the professor beforehand.
