The UPC in the Stanford-Elsevier study on the most-cited researchers
This section provides a list of UPC researchers who are positioned in the various ranking publications:
An upward trend can be seen in terms of the number of UPC researchers positioned in this ranking. The total number of UPC teaching and research staff who are ranked on one of the two lists that are considered in this latest edition, which considers citations between 1996 and 2023 (authors career) or in 2023 (authors single year), respectively, is 120.
It also offers a study of the frequencies of the number of UPC researchers and researchers from the other three state technical universities that are positioned in the fields and disciplines in the three first editions.
- Study of the frequencies between state technical universities, by fields and disciplines, 2019
- Study of the frequencies between state technical universities, by fields and disciplines, 2020
- Study of the frequencies between state technical universities, by fields and disciplines, 2021
Regarding this last study, the UPC had the highest number of authors in the group of state technical universities, except inthe list which considers the citations received in 2017, which the UPC leads jointly with the UPV. The UPC also leads state technical universities in the number of researchers who are highly cited in the fields of Engineering, Physics and Astronomy, Mathematics and Statistics. Currently, no comparative study has been carried out with the results of later editions.
