The UPC in the CYD Ranking
Similarly to U-Multirank, the CYD Ranking characterises universities by comparing their results with those of institutions as a whole. In this case, three performance groups are considered: High performance, with a value of 1; Average performance, with a value of 2; and Low performance, with a value of 3. A value of 4 or "-" is used when no data from that institution are available for analysis.
Once this score has been assigned, and even thought the publishers consider that there is no methodological justification for establishing a composite indicator with which to order the institutions, this section provides information on the UPC’s results in the editions of the Ranking by considering the frequency of high, average and low performance ratings obtained.
