The new 2017 CWUR Rankings by Subject have been published

The CWUR Rankings by Subject rank the world’s 10 best universities in 227 scientific categories used in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) by Clarivate Analytics, which was until recently owned by Thomson Reuters.

They are based on a measure that focuses on institutions’ scientific output and considers the number of scientific publications published in the most prestigious journals in the last 10 years. Follow this link to consult information on the algorithm used, which is based on the Eigenfactor of the scientific journals and the Article Influence Score of the publications.

The UPC is ranked 4th in the world in the “Engineering, Multidisciplinary" and  "Mathematics, Interdisciplinary Applications"  categories. In "Construction & Building Technology", the UPC is ranked 9th. It is the only Spanish institution in these three categories.
