The 2019 edition of ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects has been published

This year's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, which is published by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, ranks the best institutions in fifty-four disciplines, two more than last year. The Ranking is based on the analysis of a series of indicators that focus on research, although prestigious awards received by teaching and research staff are also considered.

This year, the UPC is ranked in twenty-five categories, one more than last year.

It is among the world's top 50 universities in Instruments Science and Technology, Remote Sensing and Electrical and Electronic Engineering. It is among the top 75 in Civil Engineering, Water Resources and Transportation Science and Technology and the top 100 in Mathematics.
