2021 edition of SCImago Institutions Rankings published

The SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) analyses 17 indicators grouped into three major areas: research, innovation and social impact. 

In the 2021 edition, the publishers provide not only institutions’ general results but also subject area rankings for the first time. 

The SIR analyses institutions in five sectors: government, health, universities, companies and non-profit. Results can be viewed for all sectors or by sector.

Within the universities sector, the UPC is the top Spanish and Ibero-American university in Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics.

It is also ranked in 14 other subject areas, including Energy and Earth Sciences, in which the UPC is ranked second in Spain.
