Biography
Jordi Ros has a degree in Architecture (1983), which he took at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB), and a doctoral degree in Architecture (2017), both from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. He is an associate professor at the Department of Architectural Design. His teaching activity includes coordinating the Architecture and Technology Workshop in the last year of the degree in Architecture at the ETSAB and, at the same school, acting as the chair of an examination committee on the master’s degree in Architecture.
As a researcher he is part of the Architecture, Industry and Energy (AR.I.EN) research group, which focuses on four lines of research: architecture and engineering, architecture and industry, architectural works and social reasons for technology. In publishing, he was a writer for the Documents de Projectes d’Arquitectura (DPA) journal from 1997 to 2015.
From 2013 to 2017, he was the director of the ETSAB, of which he had previously been the assistant director at different stages and in different areas. From 2014 to 2017, he was the chair of the Council of Architecture Schools of Catalonia (CEARQCAT).
