Government and representation

The governing, representative, and consultative bodies operate in accordance with UPC's mission to contribute to building a sustainable and equitable world through research, technology transfer, and knowledge dissemination, and by producing graduates in engineering, architecture, science, and technology who are capable of critical thinking, working in interdisciplinary and multicultural teams, adapting to change, and continuously learning throughout their lives.

Appeals Committee

It is responsible for evaluating claims made against the proposals of the admissions committees, as well as claims related to other faculty and researcher positions.

Teaching and Research Staff Recruitment and Assessment Committee

It is ultimately responsible for the evaluations of the university's faculty and researchers and for presenting proposals for the members of the admissions or selection committees for this staff to the rector.

Electoral Board

It resolves all claims, appeals, and issues raised concerning any of the elections established by the Statutes and regulations of the structural units. The resolutions of the Electoral Board exhaust the administrative route and can be challenged directly before the administrative litigation jurisdiction.

The Ombuds Officer

It is the institutional body responsible for ensuring the respect of the rights and freedoms of members of the university community, particularly in relation to the actions of other community members and the university's bodies and services.
