The ranking analyses several indicators from a total of 150 universities around the world. Despite maintaining its original name, in 2015 the ranking was expanded to include the world’s top 100 universities, and in 2017 it was expanded again to include 150. The ranking analyses the same variables as the QS World University Rankings, which include indicators that refer to teaching quality (student-teacher ratio), research (citations of its teaching and research staff), internationalisation (percentage of foreign students and teaching and research staff) and the institution’s reputation (among academics and employers).
