The UPC leads a co-creation event in a unique opportunity to define Unite! internships
Co-creation is a core mission of the Unite! alliance, where the UPC participates as a partner university. Unite! took the opportunity to reach and engage students, workers and entrepreneurs in co-creation sessions, led by UPC, to create a common framework for Unite! internships.

The Unite! alliance presents a unique chance to define the rationale of a Unite! internship in the context of a European University alliance. This is why the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech (UPC)'s vice-rector Núria Garrido, with the support of Maria Carol, Joan Giralt and Patricia Duarte from UPC's Nexus24, organised a series of co-creation sessions, aimed at gathering voices, experiences and sensibilities of all stakeholders involved in an Internship process, so as to identify a common added value.
Working in international and interdisciplinary groups, more than 40 participants, including Unite! students, alumni, processors, internship scholars and representatives of the private sector (both form SME and big companies), have shared ideas, approaches and possible solutions during two on line sessions (held on the 12th and the 19th of February), a third asynchronous meet and one last live discussion on 25th of February.
Concepts such as innovation focused internships, entrepreneurship, knowledge transfer or life-long learning training stages have appeared all along the process. Moreover, the participants identified Unite! internships as a solid and reliable way to build up not only engineers, but also conscious and engaged global citizens.
