Today, 4 November, at 11 a.m., the UPC has issued the following communication, given the Civil Defence warning of torrential rain in the next three hours. Staff and students are asked to refrain from travelling. Academic activities are suspended from 2 p.m. onwards.

Dear members of the UPC community,

Given the warning by Civil Defence of torrential rain we ask that you refrain from travelling.

  • If you are at a UPC school or at work stay there until the episode passes, and if you are at home do not travel to UPC premises.
  • Assessment activities that have not started and were due to take place today and academic activities from 2 p.m. onwards are suspended.
  • If you are physically at your place of work continue your activity if possible; if not, work remotely.

We ask that you follow the instructions of the emergency services closely.
