As the academic year draws to a close, the UPC has published a video thanking the entire community for their hard work and welcoming the summer break. Filmed on the Baix Llobregat Campus in Castelldefels, it is the first UPC video featuring audio description for people who are visually impaired: another step towards creating a more inclusive university.

Filmed on the Baix Llobregat Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC) and at the Agròpolis facilities—an experimental space dedicated to teaching, research and innovation—the video uses a metaphor comparing the academic year’s activities to the natural cycle of a harvest. In June, students, faculty and staff reap the rewards of the seeds sown back in September.

The video is available on the UPC’s YouTube channel and Zonavídeo UPC. It is the first UPC video featuring audio description, in Catalan, Spanish and English, for people who are visually impaired.
