From the 2022-2023 academic year onwards, the UPC will offer a wide range of sequential academic programmes (PARS) that link bachelor’s degrees to master’s degrees in the field of engineering by means of pathways that aim to reinforce comprehensive training.

The 10 sequential academic programmes involve taking a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in succession, in pathways aimed at professional specialisation.

To access these bachelor’s plus master’s programmes, students may choose them in the Catalan government’s pre-enrolment application. Pre-enrolling in these programmes allows students to take a master’s degree consecutively. Other advantages are the possibility of doing the bachelor’s and master’s theses at the same time, greater flexibility when it comes to taking the subjects in the two curricula and the option of gaining access to accelerated pathways that enable bachelor’s and master’s degrees to be obtained in less time, depending on what each programme establishes.

Students who pre-enrol in a sequential academic programme at the UPC are not obliged to take the master’s degree; they may leave the programme and continue the bachelor’s degree.

Most of these academic programmes also include the professional qualifications that the degrees linked to regulated professions taught at the UPC lead to.
