Double degrees
In the UPC's teaching model, students may graduate with two degrees (more than 70) and acquire skills in related disciplines. Double degrees are of several types:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Systems Engineering and Telecommunications Systems Engineering or Network Engineering (double degree)
→ Double degree from the first academic year
→ 5 years
→ Admission via the Catalan government's University Admission Office
The Castelldefels School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering (EETAC) teaches this double degree—the only one of its kind in Spain—with the aim of responding to the demand for highly qualified professionals in the telecommunications and aerospace engineering sectors
.
Interdisciplinary Higher Education Centre (CFIS) excellence programme
→ 5 years
→ 2 official degrees + 1 university-specific degree
→ Admission via the Catalan government's University Admission Office + CFIS entrance exam
The CFIS selects its own students to ensure that they can successfully follow the intense curriculum. Their degrees are designed for highly capable and motivated students. Two official UPC bachelor's degrees may be taken in a maximum of five years. Students graduate with two official degrees and a qualification specific to the University that demonstrates that they have studied at the CFIS.
UPC double-degree pathways
→ Current bachelor's degree + 1 academic year
→ Admission: a minimum number of ECTS credits on one of the bachelor’s degrees
At some UPC schools you can take a double-degree pathway by taking a specific number of additional credits at the same school or another UPC school. Generally, this involves an additional year of study. To gain admission to a double degree of this kind you must have taken a minimum number of credits on one of the bachelor's degrees.
